  • It seems like it has taken a week to get home. It's been a month in a beautiful country and I have been meeting the most generous and wonderful people.

Now, heaven is being alone in my own space, catching up with work, getting back into running again, chopping wood and keeping warm and also being in a community of also generous, loving and amazing folks.

MaryLou gave me a ride from the bus to Lund where there were lots of people to say hi to and hug: Sondra the postmistress, Gordie my builder, Richie a water taxi driver and all the other folks on the 4pm ride over to Savary. The ocean was smooth.

It's a big world with so many flavours of beauty.

PS - they are still trying to refloat the freighter in Gisborne. It's been a week since it went aground when I was in Gisborne.

Pictures above were taken on the water taxi trip back:

    • A great group of travellers as always. Juanita was having a birthday so we all sang "Happy Birthday, Ken Brown was his colorful self, Heider offered everyone a beer, but I already had a half full can of beer given me by someone else.
    • Al the owner of the water taxi company drove today. He wasn't expecting this picture and was trying to do something with the throttle and elastic bands.
    • and at the bottom - what can be grander than a cuppa tea, and my wooly slippers, feet up watching a lavendar sunset - my favorite color.
