  • This was the third day I spent in Coromandel at the Green Gouse Bed & Breakfast. Gwyneth and I went on the 309 Road today. The main goal was to climb Castle Rock. This is kind of a Grouse Grind of the Coromandel Peninsula. We also wanted to visit and swim at the waterfalls near to that.

309 road is nice cause it is still very natural. These places are so worth seeing and yet there are not fees to get in they are just there, like they have been for thousands of years.

    Pictured to your right: clockwise:

    • climbing the path to Castle Rock. A German girl I met who had done the Grouse Grind said that the Grind was still much tougher.
